Diploma project on the subject of “perspectives”. Where do our personal tastes come from? Can beauty be objective, or is it always subjective? My project, study and exploration answers this, while dealing with the different perceptions of beauty. The first chapter analyzes subjectivity and the factors that shape our tastes (social environment, personality, etc.). The second chapter, the antithesis to the first, focuses on objectivity and universal visual concepts (golden ratio, balance, contrast, etc.). The third chapter, a questionnaire, asks a number of people, each from a different field (biologist, art theorist, industrial director, etc.), about their background, their vision of beauty and a visual MCQ. Inspired by HTML-only websites, my edition contrasts the knowledge of humans with the compressed ones of AI.
